Frequently asked Questions
Q - Blonde to Brown
A - First you must choose what shade of brown you want, then hair MUST have the red pigment put back in (pre pigmented) after this process your hair can be coloured to the desired colour.
Q - Dark Brown to Blonde (frequently asked)
A - Your hair will be checked first to see if this process can be acheived, we will check for condition and ask questions regarding the history of your hair colour, a bleach bath can be used or a colour reducer depending on the depth of your hair, after this a full head colour or high lights will be done. It may take a couple of colour appointments to get your hair light.
Q - My hair seems to be thinning at the front?
A - There can be a number of reasons for this, hair that is fastened back a lot can get tention breakage, or using firm hairspray a lot can leave a coating and make hair brittle, or even as we get older and hair starts to go grey at the front it gives the allusion of thinning, if you have recently had a baby hair loss is normal and will start to grow back it can take a few months though.
Q - My colour doesnt seem to last long?
A - This is often said and we advise clients to check their shampoo as if using shampoo for blonde/high lighted hair it can cause any low lights to fade quickly or if hair is washed to much again colour can fade, make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner and do not wash hair every day.
Q - I always seem to have dandruff?
A - Other than medical reasons a flaky scalp can be caused by being to gentle when washing hair (use finger tips to FIRMLY wash the scalp and wash hair twice) if any products are not washed out they can irritate the scalp.
Q - My hair always is greasy at the roots and dry on the ends?
A - This can often happen with young people or people with coloured hair, after washing your hair only apply conditioner to the mid length and ends do not apply to the roots as hair has its own natural oils from the scalp.
Q - I have been growing my hair for ages its driving me mad cut it off!
A - When people start to grow their hair often they only have the ends taken off now and again, then after a while when all the hair has over grown and it wont stay after a blowdry, they end up having it ALL cut short again. Try talking to your stylist first as it is always good to get a second opinion and grow it in stages, remember change the way you style it to so you dont get bored while its growing.
